Dantelli – Privacy Policy

Dantelli (“the App”) is a fully offline macOS menu bar and notch ornament utility. We respect your privacy and designed the App so that your personal information stays on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Dantelli does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data.

The App does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact details
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Crash reports or diagnostics
• Photos, files, contacts, or other personal content
• Camera or microphone recordings
• Screen recordings or screenshots
• Usage or timer data sent to a server

2. Local Preferences Data

The App saves local user preferences—such as your selected lace pattern, thread color, lace scale, fringe drop length, thread opacity, and breeze animation settings—directly on your Mac using standard macOS UserDefaults. This information is used only to remember your visual preferences and is not sent to us or any third party.

If you delete the App, locally stored preference data may also be removed according to macOS behavior.

3. No Third-Party Services

Dantelli does not use:

• Advertising SDKs
• Analytics or tracking tools
• Crash-reporting services
• Cloud storage or synchronization
• User accounts or authentication services
• iCloud integration
• In-app purchases or external payment services

The App works fully offline.

4. Permissions & Camera Hardware Notice

Although Dantelli visually frames the top-center camera notch area of your Mac display, the App does not access, activate, or read from your Mac’s camera or microphone hardware. It only reads standard macOS screen layout coordinates (NSScreen safe area and auxiliary menu bar geometry) to position the decorative lace border and interactive island on screen.

The App may optionally request standard macOS Notification permission solely to display a local alert banner when a timer you start (such as Tea Brewing, Turkish Coffee, or Focus Timer) finishes. All notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

Because the App does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from children or users of any age.

6. Data Security

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal information stored on our servers or accessible to us through the App.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published at:
