Common questions

How do I open and use Dantelli?

When you launch Dantelli, it automatically places a decorative lace border around the top-center camera notch area of your screen and adds a ✨ Dantel icon to your macOS Menu Bar. Move your pointer over the top-center notch area (hover) to expand the interactive island, or click the ✨ Dantel icon in the Menu Bar to open the settings panel.

How do I change the lace pattern, thread color, or size?

Click the ✨ Dantel icon in the macOS Menu Bar (or switch to the Dantel tab inside the expanded island) to choose between four artisanal lace patterns (Çeyizlik Köşe & File, Çiçekli İğne Oyası, Tığ İşi Yelpaze, and Saray İşi Sırma), five thread colors (Pure White, Vintage Ecru, Gold Thread, Dusty Rose, and Silver Thread), and adjust lace scale, fringe drop length, opacity, and breeze sway animation.

Does the hanging lace block clicks on my menu bar or app windows?

No. When your mouse pointer is outside the active notch island area, Dantelli’s hanging lace ornaments are completely click-through, allowing you to click menu bar items and underlying windows without interruption.

How do the Tea, Coffee, and Focus timers work?

Hover over the top-center island and open the Çay & Odak tab (or use the quick timer pill in the Genel tab). Select a preset (Çay Demleme – 15 min, Türk Kahvesi – 3 min, El İşi / Odak – 25 min, or Kısa Mola – 5 min) and press Başlat. When the countdown reaches 00:00, the island automatically expands with a celebration banner, plays a crystal tea-glass chime, and sends a local macOS notification.

Does Dantelli work on Macs or external monitors without a physical notch?

Yes. On MacBook models with a camera notch, Dantelli automatically detects the exact notch dimensions. On Macs or external displays without a physical notch, it creates a simulated top-center island so all lace patterns and widgets work seamlessly.

Does Dantelli access my Mac’s camera?

No. Dantelli never accesses or uses your camera or microphone hardware. It only reads screen geometry coordinates to draw the decorative lace frame around the top-center area of your display.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. Dantelli is designed to work 100% offline.

Does the app contain ads or tracking?

No. Dantelli has no ads, user accounts, analytics, or tracking.
