Dantelli is a local macOS application that brings the aesthetics of traditional Turkish lace and needlework to the MacBook camera notch.
It combines procedurally drawn lace motifs around the notch with an interactive Dynamic Island experience for tea brewing, Turkish coffee and focus timers.

In Turkey, lace doilies placed on top of CRT televisions became a familiar visual memory throughout the 1980s and 90s. Dantelli reinterprets that tradition for a modern screen, turning one of the MacBook’s most distinctive areas into a personal and cultural surface.
The application displays different Anatolian-inspired motifs around the camera notch. Users can customize the pattern, thread color, scale, drop length and animation behavior. Hovering over the notch expands the area into a Dynamic Island-style utility surface with timers and a live clock.
The lace geometry is generated procedurally so it remains crisp on Retina displays. Animations add a gentle sense of movement without compromising the structure of each motif. The result is intended to be more than a static decoration: a living interface layer that accompanies everyday macOS use.
The product is in development ahead of a Mac App Store release. Its independent landing page presents the visual direction and intended experience of the application.
